Below are some shots from a quick explore of an abandoned hotel and leisure centre which has been shut for the last 2-3 years. In that time it has deteriorated very badly with the site having been completely torn apart for copper and other valuables. There is still a nice bit left to see though, especially all the areas of the leisure centre. Most of the metal has already been thieved from the site but I imagine the site is only going to deteriorate more in the next couple of years.
This hotel and attached restaurant/pub was abandoned in the last couple of years due to the downturn in the economy. The building is in a fairly good condition and does not seem to have been looted too badly, so I may err on the side of caution and leave the location out.
This pub/inn is located in the middle of the countryside just outside Killaloe. I couldn’t find any information on when it closed but it doesn’t seem to be too long ago. The inside of the inn is a lot larger than it seems from the outside. The ground floor contains the pub itself and several backrooms. And the upstairs contains the different bedrooms which were let out and also the living accommodation for the owners of the inn. Currently the inn is being renovated by new owners.
